Description of the album
This music is created following the Cosmos 1 project of The Planetary Society.
Cosmos 1 is a solarsail spacecraft that was build and launched completely without any support of goverments. The spacecraft is designed and build by a non-profit organisation together with scientists and enginers from America and Russia.
After take off the second stage of the Volna rocket did not ignite and unfortunately crashed into the sea. Currently the Planetary Society is looking for new sponsors to rebuild and launch a new solarsail spacecraft. (Click for the latest update of these missions)
This album was already finished before the launch of the rocket.

Information about the artist
Patrick Schouten was born in 1968 in the Hague, the Netherlands and makes music because he loves it. He comes from a musical family. His father and uncles played in a marching band that was founded by his grandfather.
Greatly inspired and influenced by Vangelis, the keyboard is his favorite instrument. For a couple of years now Patrick has played keyboards in the band The Netz, where he started out as a sound technician.
Besides playing in the band he loves to create his own music, completely based on electronic instruments and emotions. He writes his music in the new age, easy listening and ambient styles.
Music to Patrick is a way of living. Patrick has founded KSK Productions with two friends, to create music for commercials, films, videos, games and other projects.
